So, tomorrow is the day, folks.

I just got done reading Justice League and...not bad, actually.

Not amazing, but not terrible. Pretty good first issue. I already fucking hate Hal, though. I was hoping he would be a little more likable than usual, but NOPE.
I wish I could get more than I'm getting, but cash is tight. Can't wait for 'em, though.
Guys... as of midnight tonight/this morning... the DCnU is a thing. There's no going back (probably?).

I'm scared. D: But I'm excited for whatever Justice League has in store for us.

And why am I not surprised about Hal?

Until Detective Comics hits its 900th issue, then DC will switch everything back to its original numbering and have another timeline event. Tongue
should we start the countdown to be rid of collared Superman?
I'm looking forward to grabbing Flashpoint #5 and a digital copy of Justice League #1 later today.

I am actually really excited by all this. Can't remember the last time I felt like this about buying comics. A mixture of excitement, anticipation, wonder and fear.
I can't believe I have to wait until 2PM for Comixology to post!

In the meantime, in case anyone's interested, my four-year-old and I made a video to celebrate teh occasion. It will also help you out if you need a refresher on the alphabet.

I'm looking forward to some books, disappointed at the prospect of others, but overall I'm feeling pretty good about it.

As for going back to the old status quo: I can't see it. Not all at once anyway. They might do it piecemeal here and there, but I think they learned from going $2.99 to $3.99 and back again that they don't get back readers they've lost just by undoing what drove them away. It really feels like they've got enough invested in it that they can't backpedal completely.

That was fucking adorable.
Happy DCN00b Day
