Ohhhh, just looked it up and and you're absolutely right. Oddly enough, I remember mistakenly thinking Bucky had something to do with it even back then, years before either of them was resurrected.
Moon Knight + Batman = Bat Moon
Daredevil + Batman = Bat Devil
Batroc + Batman = Bat Bat
Luke Cage, the Powers Man in DIAL H 4 HERO FOR HIRE
Batroc+Batman? I believe you mean Batman the Leaper!

Ah, le criminal, he is a supersteeceecious and cawardly lot, no?
Bat Bat made me lol.

Black Panther + Captain Marvel = Thunder Cat
Moon Knight + Comet the Super-Horse = Knight Hooves
Madcap + The Secret Society of Supervillains = Madvillain
Robotman + Deadman = Scrapman
All the name's I've been able to come up with a terrible, so I figured I'd post this real life Amalgam character here and see how much more clever you folk are than I.

X-Static and the Suicide Squad combine to create.... Task Force X-Statix?
The only real similarity is that both books took rather cavalier attitudes to killing off characters, but still, I think the idea has potential; Think the Jersey Shore meets the Running Man sort of, a group of volatile but photogenic super criminals are tossed together and forced to live in a high security compound while completing irresponsibly dangerous missions for the government.
I could definitely see a good story coming from the patriotic Rick Flagg, who only wants to run a competent special ops unit, but is forced to deal with the team of lunatic divas that his superior, the manipulative bureaucrat Amanda Waller, has assigned him.

You definitely have an idea on your hands there.
