A thread for discussing the X-Men: Regenesis titles, including the newly-renumbered Uncanny, the dope-ass Wolverine & the X-Men, Generation Hope, "Adjectiveless", New Mutants, Legacy, mega-dope Uncanny X-Force and X-Factor.

This thread is the X-Mansion/Genosha/Utopia for mutant-lovers. Which basically means it'll be destroyed by rogue Sentinels/The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants/A newly-sentient Danger Room/Professor X's evil twin ghost-sister any day now.
Wolverine & The X-Men #1 was full of heart. I really dug it. I'll be interested to see if it keeps that up once action gets thrown in the mix. I've never been a big X-fan (I think a lot of the underlying social commentary is lost when you put it into the same universe as the Avengers) but I can see myself getting hooked on this one.

Also, was it just more, or did the first issue read like the pilot for a TV show?
If i am able to afford any of the regenX titles, WolverineATXM is the one I'll go to. Jason Aaron, man. Jason Muhfuckin' Aaron.
I'm looking forward to it. The X-titles have been quietly gathering steam for a little while now while, and I'm hoping that Aaron and Gillen's excellent work in the X-verse gets the attention it deserves. With all of their books. this is really the first time since Morrison that any X-books are at the top of my reading pile when they come out.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean there, with the whole, "here's our first character, here's our next character, check out our set, here's an island attacking so we can have one less actor!". But it seems most first issues are like that? Maybe?

So, does Bachalo always have three inkers? Do they work like manga assistants with one doing characters, one doing background, and one doing like shading and such? Or is it just a combination of him not being a really quick penciler and them needed to get the pages back to him to color?

Yeah, Bachalo is always running behind so they have to task a whole gang of inkers for him. Gauging from how shoddy some pages have looked in the past, I think they're just divvied up between the inkers rather than an assembly line approach.

Funny thing is, dude tends to do his best, clearest work when rushed. It's when he's running without a deadline that his work gets really muddy, maybe he over-thinks his pages.
Anybody read Uncanny yet? Good? Bad? Indifferent?
I didn't care much for Uncanny. Mainly because I dislike Scott.

As of today's titles, I'll rate them as X-Men > New Mutants > Uncanny

How is New Mutants? What's the deal with that book?
I've never read it before this, so I'm not really familiar with the characters except Warlock (Only thanks to Annihilation: Conquest and he's actually the reason I wanted to start reading this), but it seems like it might be more of a...I don't wanna say "fun and light book", but not something that'll take itself too seriously? If that makes sense.

Like, with Uncanny, it's just Scott being, well, Scott. Annoying and controlling. X-Men has fucking Domino, so I'm set with just that.
