I was thinking about getting something else for around $10 which would be like paying the five dollars for shipping, but getting another book for half price after free shipping. Looking at maybe Raphael Grandpa's
Mesmo Delivery but open to other suggestions that might be more like
King City or [iScott Pilgrim[/i].

Mesmo is pretty amazing. You might also want to check out Stokoe's
Wonton Soup. I haven't read it yet, but it's Stokoe and it's around that $10 mark.

I really wish
Mesmo was available digitally.
Oh hey, Comixology is having the first 16 issue of
Dungeons & Dragons on sale for the next few days. I've been meaning to get on that train for a while now. Rogers is a helluva writer.

Has anyone read that D&D book?

I really liked it at the beginning but it was a title that sort of lost/confused me as it went on longer but it still had really good stuff.

I love that book. The art gets a little "house-style" at times, but the writing's snappy and the plot moves a long nicely. John Rogers don't shiv.
The DnD book is one of the most genuinely fun books out there and I love it. I don't even care about/know anything about DnD but I've had no problem picking this up.
It makes me said I haven't seen a new issue in a while, though. And it wasn't solicited for June in the Previews book. So...
Skullkickers is another good fun, adventure book.

I want to like
Skullkickers a lot more than I actually end up liking it, unfortunately.
And I wonder if the lack of
D&D solicts has to do with Rogers'
involvement with Waid's digital comics initiative. Or if it just wasn't selling. IDW's been pushing a lot more of the Forgotten Realms and Drizzt stuff lately.
