I liked ASBAR just fine, but I think it suffered a lot from being in the same line as that modern masterpiece that is All Star Superman. I mean, this Buttman looks like shit compared to ASS.

I don't think its a bad comic, but Frank Miller just stacks a lot of weird stuff on top of his stories.

I really loved ASB&R--it's a fun roller-coaster ride, and there is some good Batman stuff in it. It's basically the "Batman needs Robin to balance out the darkness" story punched up to 11. One of the guys at the comics blog 4thletter did a great series about it called Frank Miller Owns Batman, if you're curious.

BTW, Rurik--just thought I'd let you know I checked out your podcast, really liked it, and I wrote an iTunes review for it.

I really don't know how I feel about that series. I'd have to reread it, and get past issue... 3?

It was a bit hit and miss for me. It seemed to push things a little bit to far. Overall I did enjoy it but the real thing that put me off it are the delays. I hate delays at the best of times but ASB&R took delays to a new level.

Did anyone else pick up Batman Inc this week? I really could not stand the "art"
