Batman Inc this week, I agree that the art was horrible. I really liked the preview teaser they had in the last issue as well. There just seems to be this problem where people who make comics using 3-d models should not be doing that. I mean it reminded me of the Chaos War covers that bothered me too. It is like, if you do a comic adaptation of a video game, there is a reason you hire actually comic artists to do it. And there were bits where the poses just looked reused and the biggest shame is that I liked this issue and I think another artist could have made this amazing.

I totally agree. The story is solid and appropriately kind of crazy for the setting, but the CG was weird. I think it could have worked with less detail. The panels had so many small details and textures that everything was kind of hard to make out.

I think the CG art worked for the story it was telling. Besides, I was way more interested in some of the reveals of the story than just how the art worked in that instance.

Oh I thought doing CG worked for the story but I didn't like the CG they used.

I really enjoyed the issue, but agree it got hard to follow visually at times because of the CGI. Not easy to discern objects at times.

Apparently Chris Sims was not a fan of Batman Inc this week

Looks like even Chris Sims is hopping aboard the Grant Morrison backlash bandwagon.

Well, it's really not a great comic compared to everything else in Batman Inc so it makes sense people are disappointed. I didn't think the story was as bad as I see a lot of people saying, but I totally agree with Sims on the art.

I'm sure he's right, just flipping through the issue last night didn't inspire confidence, but it seems like the cool thing on the comics internet this week is to hate on Morrison.

I went to the local comic book store intent on buying the latest one, flip through the pages and just placed it back on the shelf I took it from. I like Batman, but I don't think I would be willing to pay for something that looked as horrible as Batman Inc. #8 did. So I didn't really get to read the big reveal that everybody has been talking about.
