Ok, what is everyone's favorite Batman story, storyline or event? Personally I loved No Man's Land. I think the literalization of fighting crime block by block was cool. Not even Azrael could ruin that event for me.
The Black Glove.
If Annuals count Giant Sized Batman Annual #1 is by far my favourite issue of Batman. I love the eclectic 60's storytelling vibes, and The Strange Costumes of Batman is brilliant.

T-T-Tales of the Bat-Signal?

You mean to tell me it got to have some sweet sweet swashbuckling Golden Age adventures too? This revelation is putting the entire Batman mythos under new light for me.

The Black Glove as it is an actual arc, but I consider Batman & Robin as an entire storyline and it has been amaaazing. Of course Everything Morrison has done with Batman during and since RIP really. Ok, except for that horrible Joker issue.
y'know, batman really is lost to me. i dunno what it is. i've read and enjoyed various batman stories over the years, but generally i come out of them feeling that i enjoyed the story that was told or the villains used rather than batman himself. like they could have replaced B with, i dunno, daredevil or dr. midnite or whatever with little difference.

so i put it to you: is is batman himself that you guys love? or the villains, setting, writers/artists or whatever? just curious

Yeah, I don't know if I can pull off one true "favorite story."

I would say that I relate to a lot of the characters in different ways. I definitely to relate to Batman on some level. Before Morrison, he was a really solitary and stubborn dude who had trouble expressing his emotions to people he cared about. I remember a time in my life when I was like that, so I can sympathize. And once you are invested in a character you want to stick with them and see how they grow, which has been one of the things I really enjoy about Morrison's run. Bruce has realized that he has people who can help him and doesn't have to do everything on his own.
