Can we talk about how great Adventure Time was? Because it was great.
Yes! Holy crap, it was excellent. I've been singing "My Best Friends in the World" since I saw the episode Monday. Loved the surprisingly serious and heartfelt lyrics, as well as Jake's devotion to his role as the "jerk" in the band. The revelation about Bubblegum and Marceline's reasons for joining in left me grinning. Great end to a great episode.
I finally got around to watching the last BATB.
That was so sad.
If I hadn't been so exhausted from Oktoberfest I would've cried.

I wish I could've enjoyed it longer. I was definitely one of those people who didn't much like the show at first. Now I'm trying to get my sister into it; so far, she's not bitin'.

(And they're not doing the Batgirl show, right? Or are they? I've heard rumors about both, and DC still hasn't announced their full line-up with Cartoon Network... Batgirl would be pretty sweet, and I think it was Dick as Batman, which would be pretty interesting.)
Yeah, so I finally watched the TBATB finale the other day, and holy shit. What a perfect finale. Imagine if every great show got an ending as perfect and fitting as that one. All the meta stuff throughout was great, and handled so well. Meta for meta's sake can be horrible, but this was fantastic and a perfect way to approach this finale. If it had any flaws (and it didn't) it's that the Aquaman's voice joke lasted for too long, but only because I wanted to hear as much of Aquaman's voice as possible before the credits ran.

That last minute though. Wow. Perfect and heartwarming and everything I didn't realise I wanted. I was on the verge of tears for that whole scene, and Batman talking to the viewer about how he'll always be there almost pushed me over it. I'm the sort of person that invests heavily in my fictional characters, and that small piece of dialogue felt like it was written specifically for me, and boy did I appreciate it. Cannot describe my love for this show right now.

Alfred with guns seems kind of weird, but I like the secret agent look to him. This could be pretty darn cool.

Regardless, it's something new and different and looks like it's trying to do something separate from the previous series, which is welcome.

Actually more excited about these bits here.

Huge fan of anything Aardman so I can't wait to see what they cook up.
Looking into this a bit more, I stand slack jawed, and ready to be filled with a sweet Main Course of Triple Glazed Pyg Ham Hocks, with a side of Doom Patrol meta-salad...
