Gotta admit, as much as I love the dudes, I'm sick of Batman and Superman animated movies. Give me some variety, that's all I want. I know an Aquaman movie would never sell well, and nobody probably cares about Green Arrow, but just try something different.
I went to a Q&A for Batman/Superman: Doomsday, and Bruce Timm had some insight on that. Basically, Batman and Superman are the only characters that can sell a DVD. They made a Wonder Woman movie before Doomsday, and they lost money on it. They were going to stop production on Doomsday, since it was originally just called "Supergirl," but they were too far into production, so they added a few extra scenes and changed the name. It worked, and Doomsday sold enough to cover the losses from Wonder Woman.
That's why you don't really see non SuperBats animated movies unless they are a movie tie-in. We might see a Green Arrow movie if the TV show does well, but we'll have to wait and see.

It depressed me for some reason. The lackluster All-Star Superman and Batman: Year One releases don't fill me with any confidence, either. Just cuz something is a good comic doesn't mean it's gonna be a good feature. It's like using a brownie recipe to make a cake.

I've had my family do cake to brownie and brownie to cake but they usually need to add or take away ingredients to get it right.

Wooooooord.
Adaptation frenzy makes me really sad, because often the best pieces in a given medium are so good BECAUSE the storytelling is tied inextricably to the medium.
So apparently Avengers has been put on hiatus in America but it's going to be airing every weekday in Australia. I'm not sure how to feel about this, but I guess in the digital age it doesn't really matter anymore. And I'm kind of mixed on the newest episode after obtaining it from less than savory means.
On one hand, it's the Rulk episode and I never really warmed up to the character, mostly out of my dislike of Jeph Loeb. On the other, slightly better hand, we are introduced to the Winter Solider, The Falcon as voiced by Lance Reddick and Bruce Banner fishing!
As for the Dark Knight Returns movie, I'm still bummed out that DC won't give any other character or property a chance, (I want a JSA movie damn it!), but it's RoboCop voicing Batman. That's like a dream to the prepubescent me. Although we got a fine take from Michael Ironside in that Legends of the Dark Knight episode of New Batman Adventures.

I'm sure Jeph Loeb has great plans for this new cartHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
