John Carter: The Gods of Mars
The Manhattan Projects
Batman
Wolverine and the X-Men
and there is a possibility that I might pick up AvsX #2 because I am a masochist, but I thought I saw something about Jason Aaron writing it as well. Marvel is doing a great job confusing me with this series.

Anyone want to read AvsX #2? I have a digital redeem code and I don't really feel like wasting the space on my phone.
PM me.
EDIT: Taken

For what it is worth, here's my take on AvsX and how Marvel is, in my opinion, stealing money from people with this event, more so than usual. (No real spoilers here but just in case.)
So after reading Wolverine and the X-Men this week and AvsX I must say, Marvel has some pair on them in charging $3.99 for the latter. I loved Wolvie, as I have over the past eight issues, because Aaron has a great understanding of the characters he uses, the art has been consistant and fits with the atmosphere of the story and mood of the school, and overall the book has maintained high levels of humor, action, and character interaction. In short this comic has been knocking it out of the park and I have no problem paying four bucks a month to be entertained, even when the book gets dragged into a mega event. On the other hand, and I know AvsX has only released two issues, it lacks everything that I have previously mentioned. Heroes we know and love are acting as if their brained have been scrambled in a microwave set to hyperbole. The only character I somewhat understand acting as he is, confined solely in the maxiseries, is Cyclopes considering his history with not only the Phoenix Force, but with the love of his life. However, we've heard nothing of the sort, there has been nothing in this series explaining this. Characters lash out for reasons that have no explanation. There have been a few fun moments, the modified fastball special being one of them, but it's like reading a skeleton of a story, a sketch of something that should be fun and grandiose and intense, but it comes off like a fart in a stiff wind. The art does nothing to dispel or distract from these problems, but seems just as lackadaisical at best and rushed at worst. This is especially odd as the same writer did both of these comics, and had completely opposite end products. Look, I would love to see a series that was just the Avengers fighting the X-Men, and maybe that's what this is trying to be, but to make me pay $4 for this, this empty vessel and then give me great depth into the story and make me buy 4 or 5 other comics to fill in your event, it is insulting and draws my ire. I'm looking forward to seeing where Wolverine and the X-Men and Uncanny will take this, as these are writers and artist I'm enjoying anyway and seem to do a better job at what the main series is trying to do. If Marvel said, "Hey Peter, here is a AvsX for a dollar, we think the story is going to be great, but we need to fill it with other titles you can read at your leisure, but still get the idea of the story just for a buck," I'd even consider picking up another title. The current pricing to quality/quantity level though just seems like Marvel is laughing at me and my money.

In other news, the first issue of Garth Ennis' The Shadow was pretty great.

I liked Alabaster Wolves.

This week:
Captain American Idol #1
Exlie on the Planet of the Apes #2
Spaceman #5*[/align]
The Flash #7*
Anyone else been having issues with Dark Horse's iPad app? Tried getting that The Massive one-shot on it yesterday and the thing just kept crashing. Thinking of skipping their books until they release a stability update. It's just infuriating to try and read something and the app crashes every fourth page.

I have no idea what i'm getting this week. was gonna be teen titans, superboy, justice league dark and i, vampire, but... man, I dunno. I don't think this is a justifiable thing anymore, no matter how much I try not to be boycotter.
but we'll see, such decisions are hard.
Oh, but I'll go buy Captain American Idol still because c'mon

Uncanny

Should we have a thread in which we can talk about this, because I have opinions, and am interested in others opinions on this, but don't know where to talk abouts it.
