Dalyrimple did Pop Gun War, which is good and feels a bit Omegish in tone.

Thanks man, I'll check that out.

As far as I know, Omega is Lethem's only comic work. I'd second the Pop Gun War recommendation. I bought an issue of it off of Dalrymple at a depressing Las Vegas comic con years ago and fell deep in love with the guy's work. I'm looking forward to his new one from First Second, The Wrenchies. I mean, look at this thing. Maaaaan.

If you're looking for an inroad with Gerber, I recommend the Essential Howard the Duck collection if you can find it. It's bizarre, ridiculous, hilarious, and strangely touching. Plus, it includes the introduction of Doctor Bong.

Gerber also wrote the best G.I. Joe episodes ever, the Prisoner-esque, "There's No Place Like Springfield," which, if you haven't seen that,
. It seriously messed me up as a child.

That G.I. Joe was great. I think that's the first time I've watched it.

My library doesn't have anything by Gerber, but I'll be on the lookout for his stuff.

When does The Wrenchies come out?

Just finished up the new Portal 2 co-op DLC with a buddy. It wasn't that great, level-wise, but the writing for GlaDos was top notch.

No clue on a release date on The Wrenchies. It looks like he's doing something for the new (?) Fantastic Four comic, so there's that to look forward to, as well.

I have not read any of Hickman's FF. I'll be on the lookout for The Wrenchies.

Today I read Bakuman vol 4 and 5 and Acme Novelty Library 18. And I hope to finish the first Superman: TAS set tonight.

Aw man you need to read Hickman's FF. It is amazing.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm sure it's outstanding; Secret Warriors was one of the first ongoings I bought monthly and I know Hickman has only improved. It's just I didn't get it when it started and I'm now weirdly set on reaching each run from the very first issue. Not sure when this desire/rule came about, but I intend to read FF trade by trade as soon as I can.
