RE: Best Fictional Character Ever
No kidding. Moon Knight was a mess. But it was fun to read.
Runner-ups, with three reasons each: Kyle Rayner: 1. He's a manga freak with a power ring 2. He solves his problems in unorthodox ways 3. He once contained a giant space whale in his body. Captain Marvelous 1. He's a space pirate who gathered together a motley crew to find the greatest treasure in the universe. 2. He had the power of 34 teams of heroes who came before him. 3. His name is actually Marvelous. That's how he introduces himself. Grimlock: 1.He's a robot. 2. He's a dinosaur. 3. He's the King. Samus Aran: 1. She's a modern bounty hunter, blessed by ancient priests. 2. She's tallied up four TPK's(Total Planet Kills) 3. She overcame a negative version of herself, multiple times. |

Doctor Who. He's infinitely malleable as a character, has the coolest toys, hangs out with fun people and his storytelling engine is such that you can tell almost any kind of story with him.

RE: Best Fictional Character Ever
Ok, I'll be that guy then: Superman is the best fictional character ever.
1. He has a perfect secret identity: As Superman, he'll clean up the toxic spill and giant monsters, and as Clark Kent, he'll investigate and inform the public about the faulty company's guilt. He does more than simply fight things. 2. Superman, more so than Captain America, is the perfect ideal American. As Garth Ennis says in Hitman #34, "You could say, okay, yeah I'm from planet Krypton or whatever, but that's the past. I'm startin' over. I'm American, I'm here to help." 3. Superman is inspiring. He represents the archetypal goodness of humanity despite his alien nature. 4. Superman routinely plays tricks on Jimmy Olsen just to keep his life exciting. What a nice guy! 5. Superman made a midget version of himself that had all of his powers stop a meteor. 6.

Also, "If all of them knew just how much they are loved, no one would ever raise a hand in violence again." Best sentence Garth Ennis ever wrote. Twitter Tumblr Wordpress My Jam Nerdcenaries |

I've said this before, and I will say it forever. Superman is the person there to give you a hug. I don't know how to put this exactly, but that hug, that's what I need sometimes. Just that hug. That is what comics can be to me, that hug.

Also, if you guys haven't read it yet, page 1 of Action Comics #7 is the most Superman page Grant Morrison has done since All-Star. Jason Urbanciz : Twitter : Tumblr : Flickr : Blogspot |
