RE: So Waid's Daredevil
I haven't read any Daredevil before minus that miniseries where he walked around looking like Conan during the writer's strike but this is infinitely better than that. The art is also really great.

I choose to believe you meant the barbarian and not the O'Brien and will now go looking for a mini series about a giant savage blind guy in a devil suit hacking his way through New York.

RE: So Waid's Daredevil
The art is superb. The first issue was good, but not great. I think that had a lot to do with the fact that it was getting all of the setup exposition/new status quo-ing out of the way.

If this team stays on it, I fully expect this to be a 5 star book in no time at all though.

RE: So Waid's Daredevil
If you read the Daredevil comic without any works it was about O'Brien kicking cops in the desert while wearing a suit.

So I'm looking for it to be a bit brighter than the last decade's worth of Bendis/Bru, does it look like it going to be? It'd be nice to read about a Matt Murdock who isn't afraid to smile for a while.

(Not to knock Bendis/Bru, both of them did amazing stuff with the book.)

Yes. That is like Mark Waid's mission statement.

It's refreshing that it's not about how terrible it is to be Matt Murdoch. And yeah, the art is beautiful.

RE: So Waid's Daredevil
Having never read any Daredevil beyond Daredevil Reborn I'm definately going to be sticking around on the strength of issue 1.

The world needs more Mark Waid comics imo.
