Totally. The way I had found to express it is kind of a more... benign? not actively hostile, I'll say, version of the sort of view expressed in Holy Terror(especially the part where NotCatwoman narrates that she's "stepping back through [something like] 1300 years", showing it as a region stuck in some sort of mystical-ish "olden days" type of time with the sultanate and stuff, while still having modern things, like the pipeline the kidnappers lead Zam along, which is honestly when I clued in that it was set in the modern day, which is kind of a failure, storytelling-wise(though it could be a cognition failure on my part, because I totally didn't get that from the ship stranded in the desert somehow, perhaps I am just bad at reading). If the layouts and art weren't so spine-tingling(I am a total mark for inventive layouts, it's one of the only reasons I read Flash), and the personal side of the story wasn't so affecting, I would be dropping that book like the pigs were trying to get at me(that is, gently, into my library outbox, as I really do not want more library fees).

Hey y'all, I've only put some songs into a (hopefully) somewhat cognitive order, but I made a new mixtape and I asked Daniel Butler, who some of you might know better as Deebeemonster from twitter or tumblr or where ever, to draw the cover for it. He flarging destroyed it, which is not surprising, but I thought you guys would at least like to see some awesome art and maybe listen to some tunes I dig, and find some you might as well.
