We need a place to welcome the new folks before we scare them off, so here it is.

I figure people can say hello and maybe talk about their favorite character or how they got into comics. I'll start

I'm Rurik, and my favorite character is Batman.

I only got into comics in the last couple of years, but in that time i have read every post crisis Batman comic I could get my hands on. Which is like 95% of them. I didn't really read comics as a kid, but I loved the comic cartoons like Batman TAS, X-Men and Spiderman.

Edit: Totally forgot to plug my own stuff. I do a podcast called Bat Issues where I read and review old Batman comics. It's part spreading the golden age love, part a good motivation for me to read all of them.

I am Luke/Koltreg and I am the Let's Be Friends Againtern which means I do things behind the scenes that the normal LBFA can't do. I am the LBFA Force.

I write Socialfist and Changeling, two online web comics that you should check out (though Socialfist is a bit slow for most comic readers in the first chapter).

I am a web designer, graduating soon, and I previously worked at a comic shop. I also book and organize concerts from time to time.

I first tried comics when I won store credit in a Magic tournament and picked up the Lobster Johnson series but stuck with just the Sandman stuff till I got my comic shop job. Now I have a pretty big book case of stuff to read and share and pointless knowledge.

If you ever need advice on anything, I'm happy to help as well.

I make rap music as Adam WarRock.

I first got into comics at ten, and I was obsessed with X-Men related comics. I stopped for a while in college, got back into it with Hellboy, Ex Machina, and other indie titles. I don't really read weekly comics regularly lately, but I am always reading something old.

My favorite character is..well, I wish it was someone cooler, but it's probably Jubilee. B/c she's AZN (I'm asian, too).

I'm Anthony, I'm 20 and I live in Australia.

I only got into comics a few years ago. I lived in a small town and didn't know anyone that read comics until I moved to Brisbane and visited a comic shop for the first time. I've read a lot of comics since then.

My favourite characters are Ultimate Spider-Man, Batman and Scott Pilgrim. My favourite writers are Grant Morrison, Joe Kelly, Jonathan Hickman, and some others I'm forgetting right now.

I internet a lot, been tumbling since '07 on http://winnr.tumblr.com and I write about comics and some video games at my friend's gaming blog, The Ninja Rope. And I study math.

I'm also really into music like Spoon and Kanye, games like Mass Effect and Zelda, shows like Breaking Bad and Community, movies like Super 8 and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Hi, I'm Jared, 22 years-old, and I live in Arizona.

Got into comics about...8-10 years ago or so, starting with picking up trades at my local Borders and then getting an LCS some years after.

Favorite characters...a lot of the Bat-Family, Superman, Wonder Woman, and probably a lot more that I can remember.

Favorite writers...Grant Morrison, Frank Miller, Paul Dini, Warren Ellis, Brian Azzarello, Jonathan Hickman, and, again, a lot more than what I can probably remember.

I'm a bit of an amateur writer/artist, and I'm also studying to be a web developer.

I started reading comics in 3rd grade or so when I picked up an issue of Fantastic Four at a 7-11. Quit as a senior in high school because of rock & roll/girls/Man In the Moon stuff, got back in circa 2000 when I picked up New X-Men 116. I wrote about all this here.

I'm a graphic designer by day, I fight crime/gum disease by night. All my link info's in my signature.

I like Ben Grimm, D-Man, Adam West as Batman, Madman and cookies. So many cookies.
