RE: The Next Event Comic
Boner sucks (no pun intended) after that retcon when he gained his powers from eating a regular falcon instead of a peregrine falcon. I mean, what around you going to do, have him not be trapped by Alligator Nun? That was an inescapable death trap and the last mini where it was just him in the Obelisk Tube was horrible.

RE: The Next Event Comic
I'm pretty sure Kid Centipede is done as a character after that last mini-series by Walt Whitman Jr.

I'm with Chris on this one. Whitman Jr. had Kid Centipede fighting the Serious Seven with a feather duster for six issues. AND LOSING. That is some straight-up bull. I can't believe you people read this shit. Why isn't anyone talking about Aldo Nash's "Vertigo Fleet"? It's not even gonna last past issue 5 because of you people. Reading things because editorial deems them "important". Christ.

Give us the EU original back instead of Kid Centipede or Testosterzone. |

Alls I know is that if they manage to bring back Captain Hayseed and the Ramblin' Rangers, I'm gonna Freak. Out. Molterstein's run on that in the 50's shaped my childhood. Too bad they can't bring back Tony Modigliani for art, but I heard after that fourth lightning strike, his art really went downhill.

If you look at the shifted continents promotion where it says "worlds will change" you can see Hayseed's symbol of the Haymaker where Asia should be. I bet it gets tied into the Century of Peril series though and Jason Tooth is writing it.

I just can't understand what he's doing with Lazlo Burns and that entire PieTime concept. I'm gonna re read them all again, maybe it's just because I felt crummy when I read them. At least he's doing well with Ghidoran Corp. |

RE: The Next Event Comic
If anyone's art has gone downhill it's Chip McLicksten's. I remember pouring over every panel of his runs on "Unsupervised Squadron" and "Detachable Man" when I was a teenager, but now it's just like he's on auto-pilot.
Actually, auto-pilot is too kind. I wish he was on auto-pilot. That run on "The Dollar B.I.L.L.s" was embarrassing. |
