Guys, guys, guys, all of the MST3K Gamera episodes are up on Watch Instantly. I know what I'm doing this weekend.

In non-MST news, I just watched this:

Poking around a little on the internet shows that people either love it or hate it, and if those are my only options, I loved it. One guy devised, wrote, storyboarded, directed, and provided the visual effects for it. As long as you aren't watching it expecting a "monster movie", I think you'll like it.

I'm rewatching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann while I introduce it to a friend. I had nearly forgotten how much I love that anime. Having only seen it subbed the first time around, I have to say I'm pretty impressed by the English dub. I didn't think certain lines would translate well, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

It gradually improves. Also, I'm alternating X-Men and X-Men Evolution, which helps dull the horror of both godawful first seasons.

I *just* watched this episode at a friend's house the other night. That is my favorite episode for sure!

Also it's on Youtube in a convenient streaming playlist

I watched the 1982 Conan the Barbarian last night, as I'd never seen it before. I kind of really loved it.

Robert Altman's The Long Goodbye is on streaming and it's one of my favorite movies of the 1970's.

RE: Netflix - What to watch
The Long Goodbye is awesome. The Coen Brothers pretty much remade it as The Big Lebowski, which gives that movie an extra level when you've seen both.
