That jack knife was pretty nasty. Triple H's shoulder look like it popped out or something. Could be anything since the bump was so sloppy. Normally I hate gimmick-y matches like "I Quit" and Last man Standing but Cena/Del Rio pulled that shit off. Also I marked out when the ring caved even though I saw it coming I just can't resist.
Survivor Series is next so it looks like Cena will be focused on Rock which means (I hope) the spoitlight for the wwe title is back on Punk trying to get it off Alberto. When he gets it I hope he gets a credible reign, everyone lately gets the title, doesn't defend it for a month, then drops it. Miz is the last guy to actually have a credible reign. He had that thing for a while and defended it like a heel should.

Anyway, lot of solid action on Smackdown last Friday. Punk vs Christian was a treat. I can always count on that show to deliver quality matches while Raw keeps trying to be the obnoxious vareity show + some wrestling.

Man. Show after show after show, that dude goes out and works his ass off making himself and whoever he's out there with look like a million bucks.

I watched Friday's Smackdown and Monday's Raw back to back last night, and even though the booking on his match with Ryder made absolutely no sense, he still was amazing.

Matter of fact, a lot of the booking Monday night didn't make any sense. Big Show beats Alberto del Rio clean? Air Boom lose two in a row clean but are still tag champions? Ryder beats Ziggler clean after a false ending? (Why bother with a psych-out ending if the outcome is going to be the same regardless? This is totally basic stuff here.) Cena beats Miz even after R. Truth interferes, but for some reason he needs the Rock's help to beat them? IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE!

I'm sure I'm forgetting some other things that also didn't make sense, but at least the Muppets were great and even if many of the outcomes didn't make sense, I think we got some great in-ring work in the last seven days.

Yeah, Dolph is pretty much the fucking MAN. They are giving Zack Ryder another U.S. title shot at Survivor Series. I have a sinking feeling he's gonna win it. I can't stand that mother fucker, does anybody identify with his dumb gimmick? Anyway...I used to think Mark Henry was useless but he stepped up this year and he's just been a BAMF lately. I hope they keep him unbeatable at least until Wrestlemania.

stuff like that doesn't really inspire me to try watching again.
(this doesn't relate directly to what Honk said, but it's still a bone I often feel the need to pick)
the annoying thing is that it shouldn't be that hard to run a wrestling company, really. Like, it should be hard to become a good wrestler, but booking wrestling? you decide who wins, who does an interview and the basic thrust of angles. How so many companies can fuck that up so thoroughly is astounding.
