RE: The Pull List!
I read Fables, and I don't quite know what you are talking about, though that may be because I haven't read the stretch between 100 and the start of the Inherit The Wind arc, as that's when I transitioned from trades to floppies.

Ah yeah, what I am referencing pretty much is a sudden twist in #100.

Yeah, I'll be relieved once that subplot finishes up. But, man, how 'bout that North Wind plot, eh? I'm getting the latest ish tuesday, so please, no spoilers. I'm collecting via trades but I am interested in the next arc. Fables does a good job of making me want to keep reading though I did feel that the whole Mr Dark thing felt somewhat rushed at the beginning like it was a deal of "we finished an arc, we need a new villain immediately" but he wasn't really given a lot of foreshadowing at all. With the whole Adversary we were given limited information on purpose and we were slowly given info till the final and still solid reveal. Here it was like "oh dang yo, evil dude in a coffin yo and you never heard of him." My argument is far from perfect though. Changeling and Socialfist. Check those out. |

RE: The Pull List!
Anyone else not really feeling Mud Man? I feel bad because I loved Grist's Jack Staff and Kane, but his take on British Spider-Man just isn't working for me. The best part of issue two was the two pages in the back going over logo designs. Part of it is that Spider-Man has been redone so many times (as Nova, Speedball, Invincible, Ultimate Spider-Man) that it's almost impossible for it to feel fresh to me.
I'll give it a few more issues since I like Grist's work so much, but man.[/align] Jason Urbanciz : Twitter : Tumblr : Flickr : Blogspot |
