Damn it I knew there was something I forgot at the store today. And I bought the freaking hot mess instead...

I picked up Earth 2 on a whim Wednesday night and it...wasn't bad? It was a perfectly good set-up issue and I guess I'll start checking it out a month behind. Worlds' Finest was great, but I'm a bad judge because it's drawn by my two favorite artists.

Picking up three weeks worth of comics at the shop tonight. Pray for mojo.

RE: The Pull List!
So Action Comics #9 finally fulfilled the promise of a Grant Morrison Superman series. For real, if dude just wants to bounce between alternate Earth every issue, that'd be fine with me. Also, get Gene Ha to do as many issues as he can.

Also, Tick #100 was darn good.

This week:

Demon Knights #8*
Fatale #5 - Am I the only one not feeling this series as much as Brubaker & Phillips' previous stuff? Maybe it's because they're playing a longer game on this one.
Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE #9
Lobster Johnson: The Burning Hand #4*
Mystery In Space #1- Mike Allred gets my money every time
Skullkickers #14*

Alabaster: Wolves #2

A bunch of other stuff? I think? Mostly X-books? At this point, I know what I subscribe to, but I work across the street from my comics shop, and it's so easy to just check in that unless I'm editing it, I never keep track of what's coming out when.

Tangentially: Astonishing X-Men. Any good?

The Whedon stuff? Yes. Probably the only X-comic that can stand next to Morrison's run in the post-2000 pantheon.

Here's my pulls for the week:
2000 AD #1778 (Digital) -- Zaucer of Zilk, son!
Atomic Robo, Vol 06: The Ghost of Station X -- Whenever this goes digital, I'll be picking it up.
FLCL Omnibus -- FLCL 4 LYFE
Higher Earth #1 -- This is gonna be a fun series.
iZombie #25 -- Beginning of the end.
Mystery In Space One-Shot -- Solid line-up on a Vertigo sci-fi anthology? Okay. YES.
Ultimate Comics: Ultimates #10 -- Sam Humphries all up in this piece.
