Well, the Point One issue for Hulk was issue #30, so, 12 issues back. But I think T-bolts' was the last issue and was a good catch-up point. RE: The Pull List!
I'm dropping Stormwatch from the pull list, as I've replaced it with OMAC, and Demon Knights, which I picked up (as well as OMAC) because of the glowing reviews it has received here. Having been amazed and deciding to stick with Demon Knights, or OMAC however you want to put it, one has taken over my free-to-try spot for now. I really want to get in with Daredevil, I know it's not out this week but you'll forgive the interlude, but I'm going to have to find fault with, and drop something else. JLA may be the next to go, although I was disappointed with JLI #1 I am ready to give Jurgens more space than Johns at the moment.
All in all: Action Animal Man JLI OMAC Swamp Thing Sweet Tooth (As much as I want to pick up Huntress, we'll have to see) Twitter Tumblr Spotify |

If you don't really want to go back to get the previous issues, Daredevil #4 was a fantastic issue that you could pick up without reading the previous four and totally get what was going on. All you need to know is that Matt and Foggy are teaching people to defend themselves in court because no one is taking Matt seriously anymore, as they know that he's Daredevil. That's it. Although the first three issues were so great that I'd recommend picking them up anyway. But if you can't, just get DD #4. You won't regret it, and it's cheaper than Justice League anyway. tumblr twitter covergallery |

RE: The Pull List!
Picked up The Last of the Greats and The Strange Talent of Luther Strode. Two examples of superheroes killing people from the opposite ends of the Deity/Joe-Schmoe scale, and books of two different calibers completely.
I didn't enjoy Last of the Greats, as it seems flat and the ending has no real drive to make me want to pick up #2. There's no much more I can say about it than that. Has anyone else here read I, Vampire, or anything else by Fialkov? Have an opinion on him in general? Luther Strode on the other hand has oodles of potential. Although I am not a huge fan of uber-violence (or rather, I need to be in the mood for uber-violence), I found there was more than enough weight in the story and characterization that all the, quite literal, gut wrenching action served as a blood red chocolate sauce on this sundae of a comic. I was worried that it was just going to be Spiderman mixed with Flex Mentallo, but it is. And that is awesome. Whether Jordan and Moore are simply building a modernized 'With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility' story, or there is a depth of stories coming from below that surface I am not sure, but I look forward to find out. I will most certainly be buying #2 and would recommend you to do the same, after picking up #1 of course. Now I just have to cut something from the pull list... And try to find DD #4 which was not on the rack today, but I still want to be pulled into... Twitter Tumblr Spotify |

RE: The Pull List!
American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest 5 Sean Murphy sure can draw.
Batwoman 2 It's probably more cost effective to wait for the trade, but I kinda wanna compare this and Flash. Frankenstein: Agent of Shade 2 Loved the first issue Generation Hope 12 Gillen leaves after this one, don't know if I'll keep reading it. Mystic 3 No much I haven't seen before, but done really well and my sister loves this. Pigs 2 Solid espionage book, hope it stays strong. The Shade 1 So, my dad and I read all the omnibuses this summer for the first time and I can't wait to read this. S.H.I.E.L.D. 3 All I remember was the the Celestial was driven mad by Super-Math and I am so pumped. Who is Jake Ellis 5 Speaking of books that vanished off the face of the earth... Mortal men know me as the Overthinker and all that whatnot. |

Batwoman
Frankenstein Demon Kinghts Green Lantern While I love Batwoman, as it may be the most beautiful comic available, I am most excited for Frank and Demon Knights. I won't drop GL even if this issue remains sluggish, but another bad issue could mean the #3 will decide if I keep on hanging on. Twitter Tumblr Spotify |

RE: The Pull List!
Just got back from the store, picked up:
American Vampire: Survival of the Fittest #5 of 5 Demon Knights #2 FF #10 Ultimate Spider-Man #3 Uncanny X-Force #16 The Unexpected #1 Who Is Jake Ellis? #5 of 5 Way too much again this week. Had to put back Morning Glories and Ultimate X-Men because it was just too much (I've been looking for an excuse to drop Morning Glories for a while now and The Unexpected was that excuse). WiIl probably end up going back for Ult X-Men though, I don't know. I can justify the $3.99 on Ult Spidey and Ultimates, but not Ult X-Men. We'll see. There were a bunch of books I would have picked up if it was an off week, like the LCBDF Annual and a couple of indies. Oh and I stupidly forgot to grab Frankenstein, will definitely go back for that. tumblr twitter covergallery |
