Guys, I bought a Spawn book this week. I kinda thought it was okay. The comic book store guy told me Spawn isn't the worst thing anymore, and then he gave me two more issues...I feel like I need a hug and a good cry.

Oh hey you guys, there was a new Mighty Skullboy Army collection out this week, and that book is joy defined. Also, they had the new issue of Sacrifice on the stands and that book continues to be the business.

I have actually heard that Spawn was the least offensively terrible Image book back in the day. And it's not impossible that the quality improved.

A good week, made better because I've earned a free TPB on my punch-card at the shop. Looking forward to checking out the Adventure Time comic, I'm one of the four people on the internet who just kind of likes the TV show so I'm hoping Ryan North's writing on the comic will push it over the edge for me. I was going to suck it up and buy Remender/Hardman's Secret Avengers that is starting this week, then I saw the HC was on pre-order for only $13 and figured I'd just punt until it's collected in August.

Regarding Memorial: I read the first issue and while it was OK, it was definitely paced for collection. I'm going to pick up issue two on comixology since it'll drop in price on Wednesday and see if it picks up, otherwise I may just drop it all together.

Really dug Haunt #20, but think that's going to be shifted to month-later reading.

Deadpool - I hear he dies in this one. Will he be replaced by 4 dopplegangers before being reborn? What, they've already done that once? Hrm...
Secret Avengers - Best comic on the shelves. Now with more Hawkeye
Spawn - My annual "read Spawn to figure out why I don't like it, then debate cutting myself" event is coming full circle
Venom - Venom and Rulk are rad. Like SUPER rad. X-23? Not so much. But I'll deal.
