Thumbs Up The Pull List!
This is the thread where we'll talk about what comics we're excited for/interested in on a weekly basis.

http://ifanboy.com/comics/week/2011-08-17/

These are the comics I'm interested in for 8/17:

CAPTAIN AMERICA #2 (There's no way this book can be as good as the one Chris Samnee is drawing, but I'm still giving it a go.)
DAREDEVIL #2 (I've got high hopes for this book. Sky high hopes.)
DC COMICS PRESENTS TEEN TITANS #1
DC RETROACTIVE BATMAN THE 90S #1 (a NEW Norm Breyfogle Batman comic?! I'll take 12.)
DC RETROACTIVE THE FLASH THE 90S #1
HULK #39
POWER GIRL #27
SECRET SOCIETY OF SUPER VILLAINS HC
SUPERBOY #11
SUPERGIRL #67
TALES OF THE BATMAN GENE COLAN HC VOL 01
VENOM #6 (Tom Fowler forever!)
WE 3 DELUXE EDITION HC
X-MEN SCHISM #3 (OF 5) (This is the first X-Event in I don't know how long that I've enjoyed. And it's been a murderer's row of art talent so far.)

What are you looking forward to? Did I forget anything?

RE: The Pull List!
Pretty quiet week:

Still not completely sold on new Cap but I really liked the #1. So glad Ultimate Fallout is finally over, I was really excited about the Hickman/Bendis/Spencer new Ultimate U before this series started.

I'll probably pick up a few books I missed over the last few weeks seeing as though this week is so quiet, like Cap and Bucky #620 and maybe that Teen Titans 100-pager.

RE: The Pull List!
My list is pretty short this week:

DAREDEVIL #2
HULK #39

I'm going to pick up that WE3 hardcover soon, but I'm waiting on a trade-in credit at mycomicshop.com

Also, that Teen Titans DC Presents is excellent. Probably another light week next week since there's only 2 DC books out and the above are the only Marvel books I pick up.

RE: The Pull List!
THIS WEEK!

Daredevil #2
Even if it's only half as good as the first issue, this will be excellent.

DC Comics Presents: Teen Titans #1
Okay Jason, you talked me into it. I cannot resist the call of Allred.

Fear Itself: Fearsome Four #3 (OF 4)
Ugh. Why am I buying this when it will only cause me pain? Am I becoming "one of those" comics fans?

Hulk #39
This is still one of my favorite books on the shelves right. Just consistently enjoyable.

Thunderbolts #162
Does it bother anybody else that Marvel ships this and Hulk on the same week like every month? Because I bothers me and I can't figure out why.

Venom #6
I was hoping for a big, dumb action movie of a book, but the dramatic stuff with Flash is dragging this down like crazy. Venom, you are on warning.

X-Men: Schism #3 (OF 5)
I feel like such a chump for liking this, but I literally cannot help myself.

RE: The Pull List!
Man, I really hope you like that Teen Titans thing now.

As for T-Bolts & Hulk, it seems like Hulk is coming out weekly at this point. It's amazing that Parker can keep the consistency while working through so many artists.

What's more amazing is that all the Hulk artists have all been pretty good. Even the Planet Red Hulk guy who was a little Top Cow-y ended up working for the story.

And I'm sure I'll love that Teen Titans book. C'mon, Bob Haney and Mike Allred? Win-win. The only reason I was skittish is that I may have a trade come in with my pull-list this week, so there's that.

RE: The Pull List!
The brilliance of that was getting the original Planet Hulk artist, Carlo Pagulayan, to do those two issues. And that's the thing, each of the artists have served the story and Parker is able to play to each of their strengths.
