The Pull List!

RE: The Pull List!
Avengers vs. X-Men #5 was literally one of the worst things I’ve ever read in my history of reading comics. Absolutely terrible in every aspect. Story, writing, events and art. I am honestly glad I have never bought a single issue of this horrible event and I wouldn’t even grace it with a download if I wasn’t a terrible person who read bad things even though I know they’re bad.

I…I am physically ill from this. That is all.

I can't help it if I've got a heavy flow and a wide set vagina!
I'm now on the Tweety!
I'm also tumbling!

And yet, it all pales against the horror of the
X-Men's new costumes. They are just breathtakingly awful. They are so awful that it might actually be a superpower.

On the upside, Uncanny #13 had this subtly lovely thing, which almost--not quite, but almost--made all the stupid worth it:

If you all haven't been reading Andrew Wheeler's AvX reviews at ComicsAlliance, this week's installment was pretty hilarious.

For example: "Cyclops comes out of it worst because he's been dressed to look like Darkhawk. Not even the real Darkhawk; he looks like the Ben Reilly of Darkhawks."

I read the first one, enjoyed it immensely, and then sort of forgot about them. Going back and catching up now; much like the House recaps on Television Without Pity, these are way more fun than the actual series.

Has anyone besides me actually used the AR on the most recent issue, or any of them for that matter? Besides being totally pointless, I did find some interesting tidbits.

RE: The Pull List!
Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred #5 (of 6)
Conan The Barbarian #5
Planetoid #1
The Shade #9 (of 12)

Might pick up The Massive if reactions are strong. Even then, I'll probably end up waiting for the trade. So far, the only thing that Wood's written that I've liked is his Conan series, which is work-for-hire on an established property, but maybe, MAYBE, this one is THE ONE?

It's just Shade and tracking down the first issue of Fury MAX for me this week.

Mortal men know me as the Overthinker and all that whatnot.

RE: The Pull List!
Hey, if I jump on Shade for these next three (final three?) issues am I going to be able to know what's going on, or should I wait for the trade. I've heard good things, but also am a complete sucker for Fraiser Irving. (PS I might just get the trade as well.)

It's been pretty slow paced/easy to follow so far. Irving does three issues then Gene Ha does the last one, which is a flashback issue.
