RE: Netflix - What to watch
I just learned that Breaking Bad is on Instant via the newest WRA. This is bittersweet news.
Sweet: I get to finally catch up on Breaking Bad! Bitter: Fuck, I'm not even caught up on Louie yet! Outright Shitty: Fucking shitcocks, when's Mad Men coming back? I'm getting antsy. And I hope Walking Dead can make it without Darabont. Twitter Tumblr Wordpress My Jam Nerdcenaries |

Am I the only one who hated the last couple of episodes of the first season? Because I hated that CDC stuff. Like, to the point where it almost ruined he show for me. I kind of hated the series as a whole. It was very boring. I was never really rooting for anyone on the show. The zombie attacks/zombie slayings were so far and few between. I don't know if the series translates all that well from comic to television for me. I guess since they fired alot of the staff, they felt the same way. Portfolio Tumblr |

I guess since they fired alot of the staff, they felt the same way. I loved the pilot, thought Episode 2 was dreadful ("I'm Merle and I hate blacks!" "I'm T-Dog and I am blacks!"), and then the rest of it was alright until the baffling finale. I think character development is an issue there. Too many of them lack personalities and Rick is so damn dislikable on TV. I kind of wanted a twist where he's killed off and the show carries on without him. I guess the big benefit to the comic vs. the show is that you can read The Walking Dead the comic at your own pace (real slow and it's George Romero, real fast and it's Zack Snyder) and the TV show requires more patience, considering it happens 40 minutes at a time every time. But I fear I'm derailing this thread. On topic: has anyone else seen the King of Fighters movie, which is streaming on Netflix? It's crazy bad. And to think it came from the director of the Jackie Chan/Claire Forlani masterpiece The Medallion! @djeljosevic + Comics Bulletin + Tumblr + The Ghost Engine = ???? |

But really, they almost lost me when they wasted Michael Rooker on such an underwritten role so early on. Whoever takes over, hopefully they'll take a stronger, more consistent hand in the writing, or that show won't last regardless. Jason Urbanciz : Twitter : Tumblr : Flickr : Blogspot |
