Ok, Clark and Lois as unwed is sad, because that's the superhero married couple. But taking their marriage license away doesn't mess with a whole lot of continuity, in my opinion. Barry and Iris, however... you're taking away a safe home for Wally West, not to mention the possibility of Wally never even meeting Barry and ever becoming Kid Flash. And it messes with Bart's timeline too! Gaah.

(Maybe that's why there hasn't been news of Wally in the nU yet? Does he just ... not exist as the Flash?)

Nope. No Wally.

Wait, Barry and Iris weren't married when he met Wally right? They were just eternally dating. Regardless, I can't freaking stand Barry and I don't think I'm alone in thinking he's better off dead.

Hmm, what? Did you say something? Oh, sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of all this denial.

Maybe they were dating when Wally met him... I can't remember now. And I don't like Barry Allen either. D: He's so... boring. And other rude adjectives.

At one of the DCU panels at ECCC... someone asked what was going on with Wally. This was before Flashpoint had really been announced (or had just announced it, or were hinting strongly at the summer events, come the demon Etrigan.). But anyway, when someone asked about Wally, we all cheered and proclaimed our love for him. And they said no, he wouldn't really be popping up during Flashpoint and they didn't really have plans for him, but since almost everyone loves Wally, they figured they'd have to do something about that. Or something; I can't really remember.

Anyway, still in denial, lalalalala.

I actually like Barry his return and subsequent adventure are what got me into The Flash as a comic. So I'm all for Barry I like him. As for Wally I am sure he will show up at some point in the future along with Donna Troy, I miss her so much! *weeps*

Are there enough continuity-displaced characters to fill a dimension-hopping team book yet? Donna, Wally, Ray Palmer, Jaime Reyes, maybe Power Girl...?

I would read that book. It DC doesn't do it, we can.

Also, I found this whilst dickin' around on the internet and though it was appropriate here.

Why not just give us a Wally/Kyle/Connor book DC? Please? A quarterly called, 'Legacies'. Or it could have Dick Batman sometimes, as well as other 'nonviable' characters stepping into the big role.

Well apparently there is going to be some sort of Legacies type deal on Earth 2 with a focus on the kids of the JSA that would become Infinity Inc. I'm beginning to think Wally might be imagined as a Jay Garrick's successor in Earth 2. As for Connor, I wouldn't mind seeing him as Ollie's contemporary, not a son.

Yeah, I had actually typed the name of the guy who was BB before him. Somebody's just having some fun with the swear filter.

Now that's funny. Jaime Reyes no longer exists!
