Also, Schism was also my first X-Men title (Not counting Daken and X-23) and I have no issues keeping up whatsoever.

I haven't picked it up, though I've heard it's good. I'll probably poke my head in once Gillen takes over the other post-Schism X-Men book.

You should. It has it's moments where it's kind of "eh", but it's consistently good. Of course, that's just in my opinion.

I can't help it if I've got a heavy flow and a wide set vagina!
I'm now on the Tweety!
I'm also tumbling!

I like it but the only thing that bugs me is the little kid villain!

RE: X-Men: Schism
I nearly got this today at the LCS. But they had the 2nd reprint of 1 for $5 ($5 wwwttttffff), 1 copy of 3, and no no. 2. SO I GUESS I WILL WAIT FOR THE TRADE and/or have someone ruin the ending for me.

SPOILER ALERT! There's gonna be a schism.

I'm still not sure what the hell was up with Prelude to Schism though.

Those "Prelude to…" event books are printed just because Joe Quesada hates trees, I think.

When I see "Prelude to" on a cover, I can pretty much guarantee that reading it is not only unnecessary, but probably going to hurt the actual series in some way.

Unless a tie-in is about Batman's Dad, Batman, and is by Azzarello/Risso, that tie-in has no reason to exist.

Noted exception: A tie-in about Loki hanging out with Mephisto done by Gillen/McKelvie

RE: X-Men: Schism
Generation Hope is a good read, but then I'm a little biased towards Gillen (and with McKelvie drawing a few issues here and there, I can't buy it quick enough). Although Gillen's leaving the book after issue 12 and James Asmus is taking over.

I'm really enjoying Schism so far, even if the pint-sized Hellfire Club makes me cringe a little bit every time they say or do something. Aaron did an excellent job of upping the tension between Cyclops and Wolverine, even I thought Wolverine's stance on the whole thing doesn't quite ring true with the character (it's an argument to have, but I'm still not sure Wolverine's the one to make the counterpoint, traditionally, this seems like something Emma would be more on board with). Acuna's art was great too.
