I've popped into the post-Morrison X-Universe from time to time, but felt really lost, Whedon's pretty great run on Astonishing notwithstanding. And I have read a buttload of X-Men comics. I shouldn't be lost. I am the target audience here. This series is a real live "jumping on point" for people moderately familiar with the characters. And based on the strength of this series so far, I'm sticking around for Wolverine & the X-Men. It really feels like when I picked up New X-Men #116 all those years ago, my interest piqued by the first Singer X-Men film. Also, Acuña totally murders it on art this issue. Can't wait for Alan Davis on issue 4! And then, oh … it's that one Kubert for the finale. Well, 4 out of 5 ain't bad. Dylan Todd /// Design Portfolio /// Etsy / Tumblr / Twitter |
