And the Marvel Cancellation Train keeps on rollin'

the idea of putting lesser-selling characters into anthologies is a good'un, but reminiscent of when they were doing back-ups like Nomad in Captain America, that went almost completely ignored by everyone save the small amount of people that followed her over from her miniseries.

I think what DC is doing with the DC Presents on-going is a good idea. It's essentially a series of mini-series giving lesser known characters a chance to catch on. I've never been interested in Deadman so I skipped the opening arc, but am definitely jumping on for the Challengers of the Unknown arc next.

Anthologies are a stickier wicket, since there's usually at least one story that's disappointing or not to your taste and since those end up being pricier books (like Marvel's recent Point One book), its tough to justify dropping $6 monthly on a book that isn't 100% gold.

yeah, Challengers is the next story by Didio and Ordway. Which I think before the reboot would have people groaning, but Didio's proven he can do good now, so that'll be fun

DCU presents is a great idea, and looks enough like it was a successful idea at the moment. And I think Marvel used to do a series like it in the past, albeit one that was mostly Wolverine stories

A: AW YEAH SON!
B: I have like the first 5 issues of that Marvel presents series. It seems it led with Wolvie, but the ones I had in total had half of a Man-thing story, half of a Shiang-Chi story, and half of some other story(they were 10-parters)

I have no real attachment to Deadman, but I've really enjoyed his DC Presents story so far. I know this isn't really the thread for it, but anyone else?

Also, poor Daken.

Totally. DCUP #3 was probably the best of the new 52 that I read this week. I am just loving it so far.

I love the idea of mini series running in one single monthly, especially since you might either A) get a full series out of it, B) get some amazing character/creator arcs that wouldn't sell its own book, or C) find some way to get a big internet stink about an amazing book that was canceled to have a one off (as in, we should all make an internet demand for a Aztec run)

This isn't exactly a cancellation, but Daredevil 6 is the last comic Marcos Martin is doing at Marvel for awhile.

Mortal men know me as the Overthinker and all that whatnot.
