I found an issue of Doctor Zombie and the Voodoo Vixens in a quarter bin the other day and man, that Cornelius Slocum was some sort of genius. Ahh, but what you are forgetting, sir, is that acceptance of the veto is what got controversial Editor in Chief Bill Archer fired from the company. He was already in trouble for allowing inker Dweezil Appaz to slip "Reagan-Bush 1980" into the issue of strong-seller The Mighty Man-Ox, showing the deep conservative leanings of both Archer and Appaz. It was all in the fanzine Cogito Ergo Comics a few years back, before they tried their disastrous move to an internet site with a paywall. A pity, it was a good read, though often plagued by publishing delays. -Rob |
