Every Day I'm Rozumming
Since the Rozum coming out and essentially said "these two guys cut me out of my job so Static Shock being horrible is not my fault", I got to thinking - are there any behind the scenes stories of comic production you'd love to get explained because they were either not as good/bad as expected?
The one that comes to my mind is Joe The Barbarian which didn't work for me in a lot of ways. It never felt fully Morrison and a lot of it was generic and predictable. Changeling and Socialfist. Check those out. |

RE: Every Day I'm Rozumming
Iron Man 2.0 fizzling out. I think I heard something about Ariel Olivetti saying something about it, but the Fear Itself tie-in breaking the momentum couldn't have been the full problem

RE: Every Day I'm Rozumming
I do hate the tie ins when the kill momentum especially when it is noticeable.
For a lot of the Fear Itself I read though, it was tied in relatively well - Thunderbolts and Hulk in particular. Changeling and Socialfist. Check those out. |

War Machine), because apparently the Immortal Weapons couldn't rate their own tie-in mini, so Nick Spencer decided to take the focus away from the techno-espionage thriller he'd been working on. Nick Spencer has been a huge disappointment. Loved his Jimmy Olson story and am still liking THUNDER Agents, but other than that dude is just terrible. Also, slagging on David Brothers CA piracy piece on twitter on Saturday didn't do much to endear me to him either. Would love to know what's going on with the Marvel/Miracleman rights issues. Marvel wants those books so bad (because the Moore stuff would finally give them the "evergreen" collection they've been praying for forever) but there's got to be a cog still holding it up. ------------------------------------ Also, speaking of John Rozum, his and Frazer Irving's Xombi TPB comes out on Wednesday and it is a Great Comic. One of the best things published last year and you should go and buy it. Jason Urbanciz : Twitter : Tumblr : Flickr : Blogspot |

RE: Every Day I'm Rozumming
I'd like to go inside the creative process at DC editorial and mind out why they thought it was a good idea to give Rob Liefeld more books.
I'm not even joking, I NEED TO KNOW. That and what they think they're doing with Green Arrow. Where's the beard? What were they thinking? |

RE: Every Day I'm Rozumming
Rob Liefeld is a big name who still sells decently enough. When I worked at the comic shop I still had people who wanted to know if Liefeld was doing anything. There is no such thing as bad publicity to a degree.
I don't have much to say about Green Arrow though. Changeling and Socialfist. Check those out. |

Man, speaking of disappointing, that headline just says it all to me about how far Newsarama has fallen. |

He's managed to obtain compromising pictures (reputation-wise) of every single editor and publisher of importance in the comic book industry. |
