RE: How I Met Your Character
My first introduction to Spider-Man was some crappy, uber-dark McFarlane comic, I believe, but I fell in love with the character with the 90s cartoon.

The '90s cartoon was the best. Every time I hear Beastie Boys' Intergalactic on the radio, I get real nostalgic about the theme... that was one awesome theme... |

I didn't really care for the '90s Spider-Man cartoon. I watched every episode, but was never really jazzed about it. But there was one line that made me laugh as a little kid and still makes me laugh today, which for whatever reason has always been the basis for my interpretation of Peter Parker/Spider-Man (although it should be noted that my favorite incarnation of the character is the Twisted Mego Theater version). After having some sort of exchange with Morbius, Peter bumps into Felicia Hardy immediately after and she asks: "what B movie did he come out of?" "The revenge of Dracula's ego." Makes me giggle every time. |

Batman: Batman Beyond.
Spidey: probably the cartoons, but I can't remember which one. Superman: STAS, the Metallo fight is the first thing I remember seeing featuring Superman Cap: I honestly have no idea. |

Since some people are already answering should we do Superman then?
I'm really not sure where I first saw Superman. It was probably by some toy or piece of clothhing when I was really little, and then eventually Superman TAS. Check out my podcast, Bat Issues. It's like Tom vs, but about Batman. |

I'm not old enough to see it when it was on, but I did rent it on VHS from the grocery store at some point if I'm not mistaken. My favorite episode was when there was a costume party and JJJ dressed as fat Spider-Man with a hole cut out of the mask so you could see his face. |

RE: How I Met Your Character
Superman: Probably first saw him in one of the Christopher Reeves movies on TV, or that lame late 80's cartoon. I remember asking my dad where Superman first showed up and he told me that he came from some old black and white serials. I didn't even know they had Superman comics until I was 7 (I assumed all that "Death of Superman" stuff was about a new movie or something).

RE: How I Met Your Character
Captain America: I was introduced to the character via the 1990's movie.
I caught it on WGN when I was 7 or so and I geeked out over it hard. Don't know why but I was sold on Captain America from that point on. The Spider-man cartoon and the Heroes Reborn Avengers helped introduced me to him further. Still this movie is the big moment for me. Spider-man: The 1990's animated series was my launching point. From there played countless video games, read hundreds of comics, and even watched that 70's live action show. I was big into Spider-man as a kid. Batman- The Animated Series and the Burton/Schumaker films. Batman and Robin is still my biggest guilty pleasure. Speaking of Julie Newmar I was watching Batman on Hub and holy hell was she hot. Superman: The Cartoon was a big influence. Not the 90's TAS, that would be later, but the Fleischer Cartoons They got airplay on Cartoon Network as a kid and I ate it up. The first Superman comic was also my first comic: ![]() Superman Blue was where it was at! I read this thing cover to cover and I wish I read the full story as a kid, but I only had this issue. It was still amazing, to me at least. New review: XTREME Holofoil Edition: Captain America #407 the thrilling conclusion to Man vs Wolf. http://comicbookrevolution.net/index.php...olf-part-6 |
