I'll be going most likely, if only to take the boys to see it on the big screen. They genuinely love the prequels. That said, they hate seeing movies in 3D, so we're going to go out of our way to find it in 2D.

I'd agree with you but for some odd reasons. It's the most competent movie of the PT and hits emotional resonance that isn't just absent in the first two, but that causes such a massive black hole of caring. But because the first two movies are set up so poorly it hinders Revenge of the Sith from being anything resembling a good movie because the house of cards was so unstable that it's knocked over almost immediately, just making it shit. I guess I shouldn't say I thought it was the outright worse one, but it certainly pissed me off a hell of a lot more than the other two.

I'm not sure if I'm alone in this, but the prequel trilogy killed whatever love I had for the Star Wars franchise. I've only watched the original trilogy once or twice since then and it was an old laser disc. I haven't even watched any of the prequels since I saw them in theaters. It's also made me pretty dramatically hate Return of the Jedi, which is when all of this kind of started.

I wouldn't say it killed my love for Star Wars, but it sure as hell knocked it down quite a few notches. Ever since the PT, I have little to no hope of any new Star Wars media being good, whether it's books, games, shows, whatever.

I also stopped reading the EU at the end of New Jedi Order series and I just couldn't go on anymore. I still love Star Wars, but at the back of my mind, I'll dislike it just the same. I never get excited anymore when something new is announced because I just know it'll end up being a bitter disappointment.

And until we get a fucking Knights of the Old Republic III (And not a shitty MMO), I don't think anything can rekindle that old flame.
