I'm with ya.

On one hand, companions usually have a higher turn-over rate than Amy and Rory, and it's about damn time for a new one. On the other hand, the Ponds have no been around for so long that I'd hate to see them leave! Gah conflicting emotions.

The first Official Doctor Who Photo of Jenna-Louise Coleman.

Jenna-Louise Coleman, who will play The Doctor’s new and as yet unnamed companion, in the hit British sci-fi TV series Doctor Who. Coleman will be introduced to audiences for the first time in the show’s 2012 Christmas Special following the departure of the current companion Amy Pond, played by Karen Gillan, who will leave in episode 5 of the upcoming Series (7).

I'm a little angry they've already confirmed the last episodes for the Ponds and first episode for the new companion. (Even though we kinda already guessed their last episode earlier in the thread I think?) Now I can only look forward to that episode with apprehension, fear, and sadness.

Obviously we can't make any judgements on her personality based on a picture, but does anyone else agree that she's kinda... adorable? 'Cause I think she's adorable. Based on the sweater perhaps she's taking Rory's place as the Token Hipster. I'm hoping that she's more "normal" than Amy and Rory, who are both pretty extraordinary compared to ordinary humans. The earlier companions were mostly regular folks who happened to get involved with the Doctor. Makes me think I'll be a companion someday too... sigh

Wow. She's all sorts of adorable. I can't wait for her debut, but at the same time, I don't wanna say goodbye to Amy and Rory.

I hope they don't kill of Rory for reals this time, but I just know they will.
