Any thoughts on the new episode? I personally loved it, the episode felt very much like The Lodger in that most of the episode plays out in one creepy location and there's lots of focus on 'normal' people.

RE: Doctor Who
It was a great standalone episode and I think Gatiss's best!

It is funny to see the people who were complaining about last week's episode being to focused on the main story of the series are now complaining that this one had little to nothing to do with it! There is no pleasing some people!

RE: Doctor Who
That's exactly what I thought would happen! I don't check any Doctor Who forums (except this one); the fans are too negative.
This is the best description I've found that describes a sizable amount of Who fandom:
Quote:As far as I can tell, true Doctor Who fans are passionate about Doctor Who in general, but scathing about any specific part of it they actually encounter. The perfect Doctor Who story would be one from 1964 where not only have all the episodes been wiped, but so have all the off-air sound recordings, all the scripts have been burned, all the cast members have died in mysterious circumstances and no one can quite remember what the name was. That would be perfect.

RE: Doctor Who
Man, I watched Night Terrors too late at night and now I am afraid because the roaming band of children who sing in unison come around. And they have switchblades.

It did feel like a weird episode though since it was more about the Doctor's death in a way than the whole River thing. Oh course if this was in part 1 of the season it would make last week's Hitler in the cupboard more hilarious.

Changeling and Socialfist. Check those out.
