Sorry, more like "HOLY TERROR FIXER !"
So what does anyone think of Frank Miller's latest project ? My opinion ? Terrible, the man burned out long ago and will probably go on another of his racist binges by using this novel, still, I'd like to at least check it out, just because making "The Dark Knight Returns" grants you the benefit of the doubt, even if it's by little.

I dunno. I still think Frank the Tank has got it. One thing is for sure: this is going to be craaaaazy.

RE: HOLY TERROR BATMAN !
I want to give it a chance to come out and let other people comment on it, before I form an opinion on it.

RE: HOLY TERROR BATMAN !
I'm definitely thinking of giving it a shot. I'm not too comfortable about the subject matter, but Miller's probably my favorite comic creator of all time, so I want to give it the benefit of the doubt.

RE: HOLY TERROR BATMAN !
Am I the only one who's hoping that a year or so after it's release, some young artist will take a sharpie and go through the whole book drawing Batman's ears and cape on this "Totally Not Batman" character.
I still might buy this though, just to see Frank Miller's glorious insanity. |

I'm going to read it and I'm fairly sure it'll be terrible, but it'll probably be insanely fun and will make me ashamed for laughing at it. I just wish that Neal Adams was illustrating it as initially intended.

RE: HOLY TERROR BATMAN !
Neil Adams was never intended to draw this--you're probably thinking of Batman: Odyssey, where Miller was originally going to provide the dialogue.
I think it's for the best that Adams isn't drawing this--looking at Odyssey, I think the guy's lost more than his writing ability.

Huh, I had though Holy Terror was what they were supposed to team on. You're right about Adams losing a step art-wise, but Miller's line-work is pretty bad these days too. I don't know, I still love his work now--it's sketchier, sure, but still extremely dynamic and a joy to read. Though, to be fair, I think the last sequential he did was the last Sin City book. |

RE: HOLY TERROR BATMAN !
I'll be giving it a shot for no other reason than that its Frank. The man has given me some of my favorite comics... well EVER. I owe it to him to give this a chance.
Even if the story isn't the greatest I'll enjoy it just to have a book of his art. Always liked his style. Well, they are, um... magical |
