According to CBR it's written by Fred Van Lente so I'm in. And I think that's Googam Son of Goom, a Kirby monster last used in Landridge's Fin Fang Four (which was the best).

I know Googam showed up in Clevinger's Angel/Iceman team up book, and that couldn't have been earlier than January.

Also, if I had any scratch to spare, I'd be on this motherfucker like Donkey Kong.
