RE: Now Enjoying.
I'm currently reading (and finishing up) Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal for my class and it's absolutely hilarious. It's basically about the "lost gospel" on Christ's childhood and how he learned he was the Messiah. It's not entirely sacreligious, but it does contain some potentially offensive stuff (Like Biff having sex with a prostitute and Jesus watching them because he wants to know more about it, but he can't be with a woman) and some naughty language.
If you're not easily offended and can take jokes, I highly recommend it, because it's not only funny but it's also educational and gives reasoning to why some of Christ's philosophies in the Bible are more akin to Hindu and Buddhist beliefs. Definitely worth checking out. I've also got to start the second book in the Millenium Trilogy (The Girl Who Played with Fire), and I also need to start reading A Song of Fire and Ice and The Hunger Games. Got a lot on my plate. I can't help it if I've got a heavy flow and a wide set vagina! I'm now on the Tweety! I'm also tumbling! |

Anyway, I'm enjoying reading Pajama na Kanojo at the moment, an 8 week old manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, by the dude who did the cancelled far too soon Hoop Men. It's pretty super interesting, being a peculiar combination of romantic comedy and sleeping beauty through a slice of life high school lens... at least i think it's high school, I never know with this stuff. It's pretty as heck and hopefully gets picked up by Viz in the future, if it lives that long |

RE: Now Enjoying.
I've decided to postpone reading the second and third Millennium Trilogy books and started reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series at the behest of many friends and acquaintances. Started reading the first book, A Game of Thrones, today and while I'm only two chapters in, I'm enjoying it. I think watching the show beforehand helped because it helps me picture the characters and scenes more easily.
It's also the first ebook I've read, and after spending my whole life reading physical books, I miss the feel of the paper between my fingers, the smell of the pages, the texture of the paper. Never realized how much I loved the little things that the cold glare of a screen can't give you. I've also got this bad habit of letting the page count intimidate me and therefore, I manage to feel like I'm reading way too slowly and that I should finish the book much quicker. Ah well, I figured I can do 2 or 3 chapters a day and finish the book relatively quickly. Maybe in a week or two. I can't help it if I've got a heavy flow and a wide set vagina! I'm now on the Tweety! I'm also tumbling! |

One thing I found while reading the GoT books on the iPad is that I didn't even realize how long some of the latter ones were. I just went through them, but without the physical heft of the book in my hands I had no idea they were supposed to be intimidatingly huge. I haven't missed the physical book nearly as much I would have thought I would, it's especially nice not to have to work to find shelf space when I'm done. RE: Now Enjoying.
Yeah, I can definitely relate. I managed to bang out a couple pages on the bus ride to and from class today. Didn't do as much as I would have liked since I fell asleep on the way there (As I have the entire semester). And yeah, not finding shelf space is fantastic since I literally have no more room on my current bookshelf for books. I've got books stacking up on the side, along with TPBs and HCs. This shit cray.
