RE: Now Enjoying.
Got back from seeing family friends. We had Indian food which I hadn't had since moving back home (lamb curry, buncha apps and a lot of water) and then saw Men In Black 3. Not a horrible movie but not really all that funny. Also had to argue time loops with my sister. Still, good night overall.

Changeling and Socialfist. Check those out.

i'm enjoying having no internet in the build-up to me moving to new zealand, where I also might not have internet. Wait no that sucks.

I'm loving Jane Eyre of all things, on the Kindle Touch. somehow I never read it when I was younger and DAMN is it a good read.

Well, not now, but in a little less than 4 hours (8:10 EST) the final transit of Venus across the sun will occur until the year 2117. Taking measurements of the transit is how astronomers previously mapped distances in the universe. So if you want to be like Mason and Dixon without having to survey a state boundary line, grab some sort of protective eyewear and check it out. Here is some more info from OpenCulture.

Enjoyed the hell out of Prometheus this weekend. It was a stupid mess, but it was a big beautiful stupid mess which tried to be something more than the usual carbon-copied mass entertainment that is rolled out every summer. Gonna have to see it again.

I've been watching a lot of Chip Cheezum/General Ironicus Let's Plays recently, in particular the No More Heroes series. I really need to play that series now.

I was a little underwhelmed when I walked out of the theater early Friday morning, but have warmed to it over the last few days.

Yeah, I'll be honest I didn't know what to think when I walked out of the theater. There was some really cool stuff, but also some really awful stuff too. Especially
But the more I've thought about it, and the more discussion I've had about the movie, I've realized there are some things to be admired there. It's far from perfect but I look forward to seeing it again and really hope it merits a sequel.
