That place sounds like it sucks, are there alternate places to buy comics in the area?

I asked the owner how come there were none on the shelf. At this point I figured they were sold out. She told me
Quote:Oh we didn't order any for customers. We ordered enough for our personal collections. Sorrrry.

Not that I was super pissed, because I'm not really a fan. It was enough for me to never go back into that comic bookstore ever again ---->Boooooo.

What the hell kind of comic book store would do this?

This kind:
TemDee Collectibles
5051 RT. 42
Turnersville, NJ 08012
856-228-8645
TemDee Collectibles

I haven't been back since that happened.

There were other occasions that made me upset with the place. I remember I had a stack of comics I picked up after shoveling through boxes for an hour. I got up to the cash register and wanted to swipe my debit card and the owner told me it was down and I needed to pay in cash. I told him I would need to run to the ATM across the street and asked if he could hold them up there for a few minutes until I came back. He told me no and started to put them back. I had been a customer for years. It took me a good 4 weeks to get over that before I had the nerve to go back in there for the Death Of Human Torch issue issue (hehe). After that, I never went back.

And an earthquake happened at my desk as I'm writing this.

I've actually been there too and it totally sucks. Maybe the shaker took them down a peg or two.

Yeah, I've moved on. I'm actually happy to be supporting a smaller, newer, and friendlier shop in the next town over.

I guess since I advertised the other place (in a negative way anyhow), I should at least rep the store that doesn't suck azz:
The Comic Book Store
30 N. Main Street
Glassboro, NJ

RE: Quotes overheard in a comic book store
I was thinking of starting a post on our favorite local shop but I wanted to take some pics of mine first.

I wouldn't hate a thread like that. I like to be envious of how much cooler other people's comic shops are than mine.

Mine is pretty rad. Not huge but great customer support. I've been to some big shops in LA and I wasn't impressed. I've volunteered at mine for some midnight madness sales and on FCBD.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned, but there is a site that is all quotes overheard by one guy.

Oh man. I always felt bad because when I worked at the LCBS I never had any really stupid questions, no neckbeards or any of that. I mean it was solid for work, the customers liked what I knew and that I was open to questions.

Except for one time.
