I thought they were building with radishes, and because fraggles loved radishes they always ate it the constuction. My memory may be totally wrong about that. I am old.

When I rewatched them post-physical adolescence I assumed that whatever the Doozers were using was Fraggle Crack, but that might just be pre-mental adolescence me talking.
